"One day at a time--this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering." - unknown

Wowzeers

It has been quite hectic out here in Colorado! as you can tell since I haven't blogged in over a month. I started my new position at work June 1st! My life now consist of work, school, cleaning and cooking. It's hard work but I'm enjoying keeping busy.

I'm loving the new apartment, it's only 10 minuets to work and 15 to school, pretty good location. And here's a picture of me on the patio.

Matthews parents are visiting us in July, which will be nice. I haven't seen then in over a year it feels like. Things are good though, tiring but good. I'm enjoying the summer but missing the festivals and shows... being an adult and having responsibilities blah!

But I guess that's about it!

Moving Forward

May is off to a good start! Matt and I finally found a new place to live. We are moving about 10 minutes away from our current location. It is the perfect location, 15 minuets from school and 10 from work. The place is just perfect for the two of us! It still has a patio and same amount of square footage. The only difference is.... we have a washer and dryer! dishwasher and a walk in closet. The layout is much better then the place we live in now. Also... starting next Monday I am the new Bakery Manager at work. Yay for promotions. Things are great! Also... I accomplished another A in school. I am sitting at a nice high GPA. Well, that's all. It is such a beautiful day, going to go for a walk!

Sometime Last Night

Matt and I step outside to get some fresh air, when we hear a noise from above. We are not sure what it is so we grab a flashlight and look up. It was a squirrel... it was running in circles... chasing it's tail. We found this quite odd, but was highly amused, it seemed as though it was drunk. The neighboor from across told us that the squirrel had been doing this all day and it probably had rabies. We then went inside..... a few minutes pass and we hear a odd sound outside our door. Yes..... it was the squirrel. It's eyes was filled with blood and blood was spraying all over our patio. I then decided to call Animal Control, unfortuently they where closed and the dispatcher told me that someone had already called and a Sherriff came over and decided that it wasn't a threat. The squirrel just continued to chase its tail in circles. The dispatcher told me to call back in the morning and they would come deal with the matter. This morning.... there was no squirrel... but lucky us! We got to scrub the patio down. It was pretty nasty! After the blood washed away and dried.... there are claw marks all over the patio... This is how we spent our morning.....

April 16th 2011

I often wonder what I will leave behind..... what impact would I have done in this world, my legacy... my life... what would I leave behind, my thoughts, my words, my wisdom....wisdom does that come with age? or is some people just old souls filled with mindful tidbits of information. Would you forget me as time passes... or would you remember the good times we shared.... Random thoughts...

April 12th 2011

You are never alone. You always have the best of company with you, just look into the mirror and the person starring right back at you is the only person who really knows you. So learn to love that person, appreciate that person, care for that person, anything is possible. Follow your heart, follow your dreams! Infinite amount of possibilities are just at your reach.

I've come a long ways to learning to be by myself and I love it. I enjoy going for long walks by myself, I enjoy dinner by myself, movies, hikes... you name it I don't mind anymore. The saying goes, "No one can ever love you until you learn to love yourself." I never understood that when I was younger. It took several years of soul searching for me to really appreciate the company of myself. I enjoy quit, my thoughts.... I would recommend this to everyone. Spend quality time and be you.

Gotta Love Those A's!

Gotta love those A's! My first 100% on an essay, I must pat myself on the back. I guess working hard does pay off. I think I'm gonna be able to pull off an high A in this class! One more essay to write... that is all... I can do this!

On another note.... I'm so tired! eh working 8hr days and going to class afterward is so draining, maybe I shouldn't of gone out yesterday, oh well too late. Nothing really new happening, nothing worth writing about.

I'm getting more traffic on my blogs..... Which is nice, knowing that I'm not just ranting for no reason, I guess either way I would still write.

Hrmmm..... well Matt and I still need to find a place to live, time is running out! We have until May 31st to find a new place..... Oh my...

At Last!

At last a day off! working and going to school is taking it's toll on me. I can't wait for the day when I'm able to go to school full time and just focus on that. My body aches with pain, my mind has become mush with information passing before me. Even with a day off, I have so much to do. I have a job interview today at 3. I'm not even looking for another job, but my mother set the appointment for me, so I must attend. It pays more then what I'm currently making, and hey it could be fun.... I might be able to keep my current job and perhaps pick up an extra 12hrs at this new place. I need to run a few errands... nothing super important, just stuff that needs to get done. I need to start my argumentative paper for school.... I need to focus on whats actually important and filter out the rest. I just have to much running through my head, too many thoughts, I'm sure half doesn't even matter.
Just got done watching a movie, "Love and Other Drug's" Excellent movie by the way. Makes you think.
I'm pretty sure I'm just ranting now,..... but isn't that what I use to do?
Music..... my muse......

School........ It goes.........

I'm currently sitting at a 97% in my English class. I have one more essay due, an argumentative paper. I have no idea what to write about though.... any ideas? Can't be about abortions, medical marijuana, or gun control.

My last day of class is May 5th and boy oh boy am I ready for it to be over. I can't wait until summer! Festivals, Music, Camping, Hikes! So many wonderful things to do out here in Colorado in the summer time. Also, I'm ready for a break from school. I'm going to start planning the wedding or rather perhaps have my mom do it. That sounds like a better plan, just show up to the appointments.

I still need to register for Fall 2011 classes, but I need to see an adviser because I'm not sure which classes I need to take for my major. I'm enjoying school though, I can't wait until I can work part-time and go to school full-time or perhaps just going to school. That would be nice.

Work it goes....... Same ol' same ol'. Mondays are nice though, I don't have to cashier. I'm back up scan coordinator all I do it make signs and make sure everything is ringing up properly, easy enough. Walk around the store, move stuff around and scan things. So, the good things is... I never have the case of the Mondays!

Lets Try This Again!

February 9th, 2011 - Matt asked me, "Will you do me the honor of giving me your hand in marriage? " And I said, "Yes". I am engaged! We haven't set a date yet, I'm going to finish the spring semester of school and plan the wedding during the summer. We will get married sometime next year, going to have the wedding here in Colorado and fly out to Chicago for the reception. We are truly blessed to have found each other. I can't imagine anyone else I would rather spend the rest of my time with. Matt is a remarkable man, he is patient, he is kind, he makes me laugh and smile. I adore him and will love him until end of time. The ring is actually a family heirloom. I am honored to be wearing it and Matt and I will carry on the tradition with our children. On that note I don't plan on having any children any time soon. Don't get my wrong, I somewhat do like kids, most kids, but right now my main focus is school and after that probably my career.

February 19th, 2011 - I finally got reading glasses! and a new laptop for school.

February 28th, 2011 - Matt and I purchased another vehicle. It's a Jeep 4WD, we needed a winter car.

March 3rd, 2011 - We celebrated Matt's 33rd Birthday!

March 4th, 2011 - I finally took my driving test, I procrastinated long enough! and I must say, "Damn I look great in my driver's license picture!" I now drive the Pontiac and Matt takes the Jeep unless it's snowing out.

March 12th, 2011 - Now this is just funny... it happened at work. A customer told me that in 2035 I will be a robot, she then started to make robot sounds and ranting. She was in my line for 15 minutes. It is customer like that, which makes work interesting. I thought I've seen it all living in Boulder as long as I have. But I must say, the robot lady topped it off.

March 14th, 2011 - Matt and I decided it was time to move. We started to apartment hunt, which I must say I'm not a big fan of.

March 23rd, 2011 - I won free tickets to Packway Handle Band with Whitewater Ramble in Lyons! Matt and I had a wonderful dinner in Lyons, then we ventured off to find the venue. We couldn't find it.... yah.

March 25th, 2011 - I was going through my school stuff from last semester and forgot that I submitted one of my essays called A Mother's Love. It was submitted through a website called This I believe. You can find it at thisibelieve.org/. Just type in my name!

And well that's all I have to write about!
