I've been downloading for over 14hrs now and made it to 50%. I called Comcast to see why it was downloading slowly, in the middle of the conversation the Comcast Representative decided to cut my internet connection, without notifying me knowing full well that I was in the middle of downloading some programs. When the Representative did this, I lost all progress of the programs and had to start over. I pay too much for the internet as it is, and it's the best package Comcast has to offer for the internet. I don't have Windows XP firewall up nor any firewalls and anti-virus protectors on at this time for the downloading of the programs. The download connection isn't stable and keeps jumping from 426 sometimes over 500 KB/sec to roughly 12.2 KB/sec where it will set untill I pause download and restart. I have to sit at my computer and watch the internet connection closely for a task that should only take 30mins.
I've called Comcast several times after the incident and they keep saying its something on my end. I had my neighbor come over and check my network, cables and internet connection and said everything should be working fine and it's the internet provider. The neighbor is a IT person.
So with this said, I think I shall be moving over to Quest here in the next few days.
